About J. Gursey - Meet the Roaster

J Gursey Coffee and Tea began in 1993 when founder Jeremy Gursey started serving his artisan coffee and tea creations to celebrities on television and film sets. Interactions with Larry David behind the scenes on the TV show “Seinfeld” led to him being the inspiration for the character “Mocha Joe” on “Curb Your Enthusiasm”. Soon after he was traveling the world as a personal coffee chef to Hollywood’s elite, including Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz and Steven Spielberg. After collaborating with top chefs, studying under world champion baristas and master roasters, he and his team applied their culinary knowledge to each distinctive blend.
